IHRSA2008 : General Information

Registration Desk
Upon arrival in San Diego, simply proceed to the San Diego Convention Center to receive all of the information needed for the International Convention and the Trade Show (based upon the registration package you purchased). The informaton distributed onsite includes the final schedule of education sessions with meeting room locations noted, a list of special events and exercise classes, and a complete list of exhibitors with an exhibit floor plan to help you locate vendors and services. The IHRSA Registration Desk will be located in the convention center's main lobby, outside exhibit hall D, and will be open as follows:

Tuesday, March 4 -- 2:00pm-9:00pm
Wednesday, March 5 -- 7:00am-6:00pm
Thursday, March 6 -- 7:00am-6:00pm
Friday, March 7 -- 7:00am-6:00pm
Saturday, March 8 -- 7:00am-2:00pm

NOTE: If you are intending to participate in any activity on Wednesday morning, March 5, you are highly encouraged to check-in at the Registration Desk on Tuesday, March 4. We are anticipating a record-breaking attendance this year and registration lines on Wenesday could be long! Also, pre-register by January 31 and you will receive your name badge in the mail before your travels to San Diego. This will save you a lot of time at the Registration Desk when you arrive.

Visitor Information & Tourist Attractions
From the time you arrive at the airport, it's only a five-minute ride to the heart of the city. At the center of all the action is the San Diego Convention Center. Everything you need is within walking distance, including all of IHRSA's official hotels. Explore the dining and the urban exitement of downtown's Gaslamp Quarter. Take a stroll along the waterfront. Enjoy eclectic shopping. It's all within steps of the Convention Center. Registration Refund Policy
If, for some reason, you won't be able to join us for this exceptional learning and networking experience, please notify us in writing by February 1, 2008. Refund requests received by February 1, 2008 will be processed less a $75 fee. No refunds will be made after February 1, 2008, or for no-shows. Substitutions are welcome at any time. Minors on the Trade Show Floor
No child under the age of 16 is allowed on the Trade Show Floor unless accompanied by a parent or adult guardian at all times, and under close supervision. In the event that a child under the age of 16 is not properly supervised, as determined by IHRSA, or if the child’s presence has generated complaints by other trade show participants, IHRSA reserves the right to expel the child and his/her parent or adult guardian from the Trade Show floor. Children under the age of 16 are expressly prohibited from being on the Trade Show floor at any time during exhibitor set-up and dismantle.

Please note that IHRSA strongly discourages parents and guardians from bringing children under the age of 16 onto the Trade Show floor at any time. Because this event attracts over 10,000 participants and is comprised of hundreds of companies that display industrial-sized fitness equipment and materials in very elaborate exhibits, the Trade Show Floor poses a serious safety and security hazard for children even when they are restrained in carriages or are under the direct supervision of an adult.
